A healthy yet practice lunch menu does not need expensive ingredient and long process of the making. Because a healthy menu can be made by simple ingredients that we can find easily everywhere. You can cook your own menu without having to get stressed in the kitchen. Here are some healthy lunch ideas to add variant on your daily meals.

1. Soup

Surely that soup is one of the easiest menu that you can make. Soup consists of vegetables such as carrot, potato, tomato, corn, cabbage. The seasoning is simple too. Soup just needs chicken or beef broth, onions, and a little bit salt and pepper. The beef or chicken is also to OK be included.

2. Fried rice with egg

You must have been familiar with this menu. Yep! Fried rice can be your alternative for having lunch. But still, you have to pay attention on its ingredients. You can add onions and chilies based on your preference. Add a little sugar and pepper after you pour the soy sauce. To replace margarine for frying, use olive oil because it’s healthier. Before it’s ready and well-cooked, you may add some vegetables like cabbage. For the side dish, a medium-cooked sunny side up will be delicious.

3. Pancake

Yes, pancake is no longer for breakfast only. You can consume it anytime including for lunch. Pancake is easy to make. This kind of cake only needs flour, unsalted butter, sugar, milk (if you like), egg, and a little bit salt. Pancake is best combined with maple syrup or any other fruits such as strawberries or even banana. Apple or pineapple jam also fit the taste of pancake. You can modify pancake into the salty one by discarding sugar from the recipe.

Tuna and rice, especially brown rice, is quick to prepare. Yet, this combo is full of nutrition. Tuna is often recommended for diet menu since it is low fat. You just need to be creative in cooking such fish to make your menu more delicious. And for the rice, microwavable brown rice is now available at the market to help you preparing it quickly.

5. Gado-Gado (Mixed vegetables)

In Indonesia, gado-gado, is one of its popular menu. Gado-gado is like a salad, consists of cooked and raw vegetables such as spinach, green bean, boiled potatoes, cucumber, kangkung, and cabbage, combined with spicy peanut sauce as the dressing. Aside from vegetables, boiled eggs, tempeh, and fried-tofu are also added. Gado-gado is absolutely healthy and completely fine for veggie.

That is a little recommendation for your healthy lunch ideas. However, the key to make a healthy food is to avoid harmful ingredients such as cooking oil or margarine. Try to steam or grill or boil your meals instead of frying. And if you are not in the house, stay away from consuming junk foods in the restaurant even if it looks tempting yet yummy. Well-baked beef, chicken, or any other meals are way more recommended instead of fast foods. And also make sure you consume enough vegetables and fruits everyday.
